100-Day Clothing Brand Building Course

The most frustrating part of e-commerce nobody talks about

Before We Begin

Most people start a clothing brand without understanding product creation, sourcing, marketing, pricing, and brand building. This 100-day course is built to help you understand the path before you start working on it.

This course is created from the real experience of building and scaling Offnorth Fashions into a multi-crore clothing brand over the last 6+ years.

Let’s talk about one of the trickiest, most frustrating parts of running an e-commerce brand: shipping.

If you’ve been in e-commerce for even a month, you know exactly what I mean. You can control your website, ads, and pricing, but once a package leaves your warehouse, it’s like sending your child on a school trip and hoping for the best.

Yes, technology has made things much better compared to the old days. But still, no one can control everything, not even the courier company itself.

When it comes to shipping partners, you can directly integrate your Shopify store with courier companies using a simple API connection.

From my 7+ years in business, here are my top 5 courier companies in India:

  • Delhivery

  • Ecom Express

  • Blue Dart

  • XpressBees

  • DTDC

Now, here’s the truth – there’s no single “best” courier. Performance depends on so many factors: pickup and delivery locations, last-mile delivery quality, connecting routes, weather, political situations, the list goes on.

Aggregators are the middlemen of shipping. Instead of working with courier companies individually, you can go with an aggregator.

Think of them like a travel booking site; instead of going to each airline, you see all options in one place. Similarly, an aggregator connects you to multiple couriers through one dashboard.

In India, Shiprocket is the biggest player. (Pickrr was another good option, but Shiprocket acquired them.)

What aggregators do for you:

  • One dashboard to manage all orders

  • Automatic courier allocation based on serviceability, cost, and speed

  • Bulk label generation and shipment tracking

  • Unified billing – you pay the aggregator, they pay the courier

  • Sometimes, cheaper rates than going direct as a small seller

The trade-offs?

  • If a courier messes up, you raise the issue with the aggregator, and they pass it to the courier. This extra step can delay resolutions.

  • Also, if you split shipments across too many couriers, each one gets fewer packages, which can slow pickups.

Common shipping problems you’ll face

  • Packages lost or rerouted – Sometimes they vanish or end up in the wrong city.

  • Weight disputes – Couriers may bill for higher “measured” weights. Without proof, you pay more.

  • Serviceability gaps – Some pin codes aren’t covered, so you’ll need multiple partners.

  • Slow deliveries – Especially for remote areas.

  • Limited escalation control – Fast resolutions are rare.

Okay, but how to protect yourself?

Documentation is your weapon. Take clear photos of packed orders with the weight and label visible. For high-value orders, record a short sealing video. This gives you proof for disputes and claims.

Test different partners for different routes. A courier great for metro deliveries may fail in Tier-3 towns. Choose based on:

  • Your pickup location

  • Customer locations

  • Local last-mile performance

Shipping is like cricket in the rain – you can prepare your best team, but the pitch conditions still decide the match.
