This One Formula Will Make Your Product Feel 10x More Valuable
Most people start a clothing brand without understanding product creation, sourcing, marketing, pricing, and brand building. This 100-day course is built to help you understand the path before you start working on it.
This course is created from the real experience of building and scaling Offnorth Fashions into a multi-crore clothing brand over the last 6+ years.
Now that we’ve explored how to conduct market research, let’s zoom in on something that silently decides whether people buy from you or not – Value.
My mentor always used to say, “Give 10x value to your customers.” If someone pays you ₹1, give them ₹10 worth of value in return. This is the most honest way to do business.
Think about it – you walk into a store, pay ₹10, and get a packet of biscuits. Seems fair, right? Now imagine the same biscuits priced at ₹1,000. Would you still buy them?
Probably not. Not because you suddenly hate biscuits – but because it doesn’t feel worth it anymore.
That’s the thing: we all have an internal value calculator. And our brain constantly asks – “Am I getting more than I’m giving?”
If the answer is yes, we buy. If not, we walk past. So what does this mean for your T-shirt brand?
If someone has to pay you ₹999 for a tee, they must feel like it’s worth more than ₹999.
And no, that doesn’t mean you have to be the cheapest. It means you need to communicate the value better.
Let’s go deeper. How do we measure value?
Here’s one of the most powerful tools I’ve learned – the Value Equation by Alex Hormozi:
Value = (Dream Outcome × Perceived Likelihood of Achievement) ÷ (Time Delay × Effort & Sacrifice)
Looks complex, but it’s simple once you break it down.
Say someone weighs 120 kg and wants to drop to 80 kg. That’s their dream outcome – lose 40 kg.
Let’s assume there are two options available.
Option A: Go to the gym daily, work out, eat clean, stay consistent. Maybe in a year, they will reach their goal.
Option B: Just take a magical pill every morning. No workouts, no effort. And in 3 months, 40 kg gone.
Which feels more attractive?
Obviously, the pill – even if it sounds too good to be true.
Why? Dream Outcome: Same (lose 40 kg)
Perceived Likelihood: Let’s assume both feel believable
Time Delay: Gym takes 12 months, pill takes 3 months
Effort & Sacrifice: Gym = early mornings, sweat, discipline. Pill = pop and go.
The pill “wins” – not because the result is better, but because the path feels easier and faster.
Now bring this back to your brand.
You might be selling T-shirts. But what’s the real dream your customers are chasing?
-
Looking stylish without trying too hard?
-
Feeling confident at the gym?
-
Wearing something that reflects their personality?
-
Gifting something meaningful?
The T-shirt is just the vehicle. The dream is emotional. If you can decrease the effort they need to get that dream or shorten the time, the perceived value multiplies.
Why do Blinkit and Zepto exist when Amazon can deliver next day? Because 5 minutes feels more valuable than 24 hours.
They’re not selling products – they’re selling speed, ease, and certainty.
So now ask yourself:
-
What dream outcome does my product help achieve?
-
How confident is my customer that they’ll get that outcome?
-
How fast can I help them get there?
-
How easy or frictionless can I make that process?
The better your answers, the more valuable your product becomes.Quick clarification:
When I say “offer,” I don’t mean discounts like 50% off or 70% off. I mean – what exactly is your customer getting in exchange for their money?
What are the emotional payoffs, the social gains, the tiny moments of satisfaction they’ll experience?
The clearer you make that, the easier it is to sell and the less you’ll need to rely on discounts.
Starting today, think about this: What can you add, remove, or highlight in your product that increases value?
You don’t have to change the product itself. You just need to change how your customer feels about it. That’s how you create irresistible offers.
