100-Day Clothing Brand Building Course

Want more sales without spending more?

Before We Begin

Most people start a clothing brand without understanding product creation, sourcing, marketing, pricing, and brand building. This 100-day course is built to help you understand the path before you start working on it.

This course is created from the real experience of building and scaling Offnorth Fashions into a multi-crore clothing brand over the last 6+ years.

Let’s go even deeper. Most people think building a website is all about how it looks –  clean design, bold photos, nice fonts, mobile-friendly layout and yes, all that’s important.

But here’s the harsh truth: A good-looking website that doesn’t convert is like a showroom with no sales team.

That’s where CRO – Conversion Rate Optimisation comes in.

What exactly is CRO?

CRO is about optimising your website to turn more visitors into customers.

Let’s break it down even more simply:

You already spent money to bring people to your site.
Now the question is – are they buying?

If not, your money is leaking.

And CRO is the act of plugging those holes and squeezing more juice out of every rupee you spend.

Why does CRO matter – especially for a T-shirt brand?

If you’re selling T-shirts, you’re not just competing on products. You’re competing on perceived value, ease of buying, credibility, and experience.

So, there are 3 big goals for your store:

  1. Get people to your website

  2. Make them buy (conversion)

  3. Make them come back and buy again (retention)

CRO focuses entirely on Step 2.

Let me show you the math that makes CRO feel magical. Let’s do a small thought experiment:

Let’s assume you spend ₹5,000 on ads → you get 1,000 visitors (That’s ₹5 per click).

👉 If your site converts at 1% (industry average), you get 10 orders.
👉 Let’s say your average order value (AOV) is ₹1,000.
👉 So, you made ₹10,000 revenue.

Nice, you spent ₹5K to make ₹10K. That’s a 200% ROAS (Return on Ad Spend).

Now, let’s say you do no extra marketing, but improve your website. You optimize product pages, improve CTA buttons, build trust, add reviews, streamline checkout – the CRO magic.

Now your conversion rate becomes 2%.

➡️ Same 1,000 visitors
➡️ 20 orders
➡️ ₹20,000 revenue
➡️ 400% ROAS

You just doubled your profit without touching your ad spend. Want to take it even further?

Let’s say you add smart upsells, cross-sells, and bundle offers to increase your AOV from ₹1,000 to ₹2,000.

Now:

20 orders × ₹2,000 = ₹40,000 revenue.
Same ₹5K ad spend → now you have 800% ROAS.

This is the real power of CRO. You make more money with the same number of visitors.

Real-world CRO tactics that actually work (especially for T-shirt brands):

Add “Buy More, Save More” discounts:

  • 1 tee = ₹1000

  • 3 tees = ₹950 each

  • 5 tees = ₹900 each

This increases AOV and helps reduce shipping costs per item.

Show trust badges and delivery promises:

  • “Secure Payment”

  • “Free Returns”

  • “Ships in 24 Hours”

These small badges make a huge psychological difference. People hesitate less.

Display product reviews with photos:

Not just stars. Real user pics and honest feedback. If you don’t have reviews yet, offer a ₹50 discount in exchange for a review.

Highlight UPI discounts on prepaid orders:

E.g., “Prepay via UPI & get ₹50 OFF – Save more & reduce returns!” You save COD costs, and your RTO drops.

Use urgency and scarcity –  but honestly:

  • “Only 8 left in stock”

  • “Restocking next week – order now”

Use Shopify inventory tracking or real timers to build urgency.

Simplify checkout flow:

Fewer steps = fewer drop-offs. Tools like GoKwik, which we discussed in the previous topic, improve this dramatically.

Install a sticky “Buy Now” button on mobile:

People scroll on phones. Make sure they can buy without scrolling all the way back up.

Use clear product photos from all angles:

Bonus: Add a 10-second try-on video. Visual = trust.

Answer every objection right on the product page:

Think like your customer:

  • “Will this fit me?”

  • “Is it see-through?”

  • “Can I return it if I don’t like it?”

If they have to WhatsApp you for basic questions, you’re losing sales.

The 5-second rule:

Here’s a golden CRO test:
If someone lands on your product page, will they understand:

  • What the product is

  • Who it’s for

  • Why it’s worth it

all within 5 seconds?

If yes → your CRO is working.
If not → you’re leaking money.

At Yenmurai.com, we’ve built a CRO checklist with 200+ micro-tasks

Yes, two hundred. And even though that sounds crazy, the truth is: small things compound.

One of our clients increased conversions by 60% just by:

  • Changing their CTA text from “Submit” to “Get My T-shirt”

  • Replacing slider banners with a static, bold hero image

  • Adding customer photos below the add-to-cart button

Simple stuff. Big results. So the next time you’re building your site or even just updating it – ask yourself:

“Am I just making it pretty, or am I making it profitable?”

Conversion Rate Optimisation turns your Shopify site from a digital brochure into your best-performing salesperson working 24x7, never taking a break.
